  • In the comments below, tell me the four different ways triangles can be classified by their angles and the three different ways triangles can be classified by their sides.
  • Then do IXL  Geometry F.1

  1. When it comes to triangles there are many different ways to classify them. The four different ways they are classified by angles is obtuse, acute, right and equiangular. The three ways they are classified by sides is equilateral, isosceles, and scalene.

  3. The four different ways triangles can be classified by their angles are acute, obtuse, right, and equiangular. When all three angles are acute angles, the triangle is acute. When one angle is an obtuse angle, the triangle is obtuse. When one angle is a right angle, then the triangle is right. Finally, when all three angles have the same measure of 60, then the triangle is equiangular.
The three different ways triangles are classified by their sides are isosceles, scalene, and equilateral. When all three sides have different lengths, the triangle isosceles. When at least two sides have the same length, the triangle is scalene. Finally, when all sides have the same length, the triangle is equilateral.

  4. The four different ways triangle can be classified by their angles are obtuse (a triangle with one angle greater than 90 degrees), acute (a triangle with all angles less than 90), right (a triangle with one angle equal to 90), and equiangular (a triangle with three equal angles).

The three different ways triangles can be classified by their sides are scalene(a triangle with no congruent sides), isosceles (a triangle with at least two congruent sides) and equilateral (a triangle with three congruent sides).
